Latest Development Update

Development across the Tempest MIDIGEAR lineup is moving forward, but like many small builders, we’re navigating real-world constraints.

 

PCB production is currently TBD due to tariffs impacting component costs and manufacturing. Rather than rush into compromised builds or inflated pricing, we’re taking the time to make the right call—without sacrificing the quality and feel these instruments are built on.

 

In the meantime, development hasn’t slowed down.

• RM-1 — A more expressive, performance-driven controller built around ribbon interaction and tactile control

• LAB-9 — Designed specifically for Analog Lab, focused on seamless, hands-on control without menu diving

• MX-6 — A hybrid MIDI mixer with CV integration, built to bridge software and modular systems in a practical way

 

This is the reality of building boutique gear—every decision matters, and nothing gets pushed out unless it’s right.
